Treatments that range from conservative to surgical
Like most people with neck or back pain, you may be able to manage or even eliminate it without surgery. The key is finding which nonsurgical treatments will provide lasting relief. Your spine specialist has many options to choose from, including medications, exercise programs, physical therapy and pain management interventions, such as image-guided injections or epidural steroid injections.
Despite being highly effective for most people, conservative treatments don’t work for everyone. If your symptoms persist, you may need surgery.
