Applicants with one of the following qualifications are eligible for appointment to either ACGME-accredited or TSBME or ADA-approved programs:


Graduates of medical schools in the United States and Canada accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME)

Graduates of colleges of osteopathic medicine in the United States accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)

Graduates of medical schools outside the United States who have completed a Fifth Pathway program provided by an LCME-accredited medical school

Graduates of medical schools outside the United States and Canada (International Medical Graduates - IMGs) who meet the following qualifications:

  • Have received a currently valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates prior to appointment
  • Have a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a US licensing jurisdiction in which they are training
  • Possess a Green card or procure a J-1 visa
  • H-1B visas are not sponsored by Baylor Scott & White Health for housestaff training; BSWH sponsors only J-1 visas for housestaff training

Graduates of medical schools in the United States and Canada accredited by the (LCME) who are not United States citizens who meet the following qualifications:

  • Have a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a US licensing jurisdiction in which they are training
  • Possess a Green card or procure a J-1 visa
  • H-1B visas are not sponsored by Baylor Scott & White Health for housestaff training; BSWH sponsors only J-1 visas for housestaff training

Everyone who is accepted into a residency or fellowship program at Baylor Scott & White Health is required to successfully complete a background review and initial drug screening.
